Since its formation in 2002, the company has focused on work opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador.  While we have developed capacity to offer quality service to major industry players, we are still available to assist with small scale plans, too.

The company was formed initially to capitalize on environmental opportunities made available through the Voisey’s Bay Nickel Mine/Mill Project in northern Labrador.  Since then we have expanded our client portfolio such that we have added most major corporations with a stake in our province’s rich natural resources.  In addition to work undertaken in Newfoundland and Labrador, SEM has also completed work assignments Nova Scotia, Nunavut and Sweden.

SEM has grown significantly since its formation.  Through its network of associations with other environmental and engineering firms it is able to offer clients customized study teams familiar with local regulators and proponents, augmented by a broad range and depth of services available from this network.
