• Provide project coordination/management and engineering support for engineering projects and designs;
• Preparing technical memos, design reports, and presenting findings to clients;
• Prepare technical reports, tender packages, specifications, and work plans;
• Manage a variety of projects, including: budgeting, scheduling, managing field teams, and preparing technical cost estimates and proposals;
• Preparing and tracking progress of regulatory permit applications;
• Prepare design drawings;
• Support field data collection exercises;
• Conduct field work, such as hydrologic baseline field programs;
• Travel within Newfoundland and Labrador, including remote locations;
• Collaborate with biologists, surveyors, engineers, and scientists.
• Other responsibilities as required.
• 0 to 5 years experience with engineering/design deliverables;
• Registered or able to register as an Engineer-in-Training with Professional Engineers and Geoscientist Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL);
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, etc.);
• Related co-op/internship experience preferred;
• Experience in consulting industry is considered an asset;
• Familiarity with environmental/mining legislation is considered an asset;
• Experience working in mines is an asset but not required;
• Willingness to work overtime as required, including weekends;
• Willingness to travel for extended periods to fulfill fieldwork responsibilities;
• Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or equivalent)
