ArcGIS Program

We want to share our real-world experience, practical applications, and expertise with you, in our introductory “Interactive Digital Mapping” course.

Who Should Apply

If you are a self-driven learner with an interest in how maps can help to reveal new insights and to tell your stories, then this self-paced, online training module series on Digital Mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is for you!

To be eligible for funding under the program, participants must meet all the following criteria:
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada;
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations;
Reside in Newfoundland & Labrador.

What it Will Cover

Our series of modules will cover the basics of Map Literacy and how different types of maps can convey different messages, along with a wide range of GIS topics - using videos, hands-on tutorials, and interactive learning checks, that help you learn to apply knowledge in ArcGIS’ suite of tools.

Upskill Your Existing Role!

This program seeks to upskill students and employees with existing roles in related fields (i.e. Environment & Sustainability), so they can efficiently and effectively harness geographic data. Learning support options will be available throughout the program.
