Project Manager

Shawn is a Project Geologist based in our St. john’s office. Born in Montreal, he grew up in Newfoundland and graduated from Memorial University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences.

He is a Newfoundland and Labrador registered Professional Geologist with over 14 years of experience in mining and exploration on the Avalon, in Nunavut and in Labrador. He brings experience in environmental consulting locally and has spent time in the provincial government with the Newfoundland and Labrador Geological Survey, the Minerals Lands Division, and with the Water Resources Management Division in the Department of Environment and Climate Change. Shawn also has mine resource management and sustainability experience with a local mining company. His wealth of experience includes project management, mineral exploration, mine planning, technical geological reporting, regulatory permitting, GIS, resource modeling, and environmental compliance and sustainability.

Shawn is involved with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum Newfoundland Branch (CIM-NL) and volunteers to help organize the annual mining and exploration trade show and conference, the Mineral Resources Review in St. John’s. He also volunteers with the Newfoundland and Labrador chapter of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC-NL).
