Shelly joined the team at SEM Ltd in 2023, working remotely as an Environmental Permitting Specialist from her hometown of Burin, where she lives with her husband and two children.
With a diploma for the from the Marine Institute in Marine Environmental Technology Program, Shelly has over 10 years of diverse experience in environmental management and compliance with the mining and offshore oil & gas industries.
Shelly has expertise in field work and monitoring activities, incident response, investigation and reporting, regulatory compliance including permitting, Environmental Assessment, Environmental Management Plans, and liaising with government, Tailings Management Facility (TMF), and Greenhouse Gas Management, and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in renewable energy and working on many other new and existing projects across Canada.
