Stephen Rowe is a Senior Technology Manager and Senior Project Manager with SEM based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography in 1998, he has gained over 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant with a focus on GIS, Remote Sensing and Information Management. Aside from working for SEM, Mr. Rowe has a diverse background as a GIS and Information Management professional including working for a GIS consulting company, Parks Canada, Provincial Parks and Natural Areas, a seismic surveying company and an environmental/engineering consulting firm.

Mr. Rowe has involved himself in various GIS, information management and application development assignments including conceptual design and management of online database management systems and map applications, establishment of project collaboration sites, land cover classification using satellite imagery, linear corridor utility and pipeline projects, LiDAR data processing and interpretation, transportation projects, wetland and watershed studies, marine GIS and environmental effects monitoring mapping, biophysical assessments, mapping of environmentally significant areas and species at risk, and a range of wildlife/resource management projects.

Stephen is also an experienced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) pilot and trained in the deployment of both fixed wing and rotary systems.Stephen has over ten years' experience as a project manager with formal training from Queen's University and a variety of training programs related to his past work experience with environmental/engineering consulting firms.
